“Fame”
Sabine Delafon per Cellula
Sabine Delafon è un’artista transmediale. Lavora con la fotografia, il vetro, la poesia visiva e la performance. Interviene nello spazio urbano e molti dei suoi progetti presentano un’attitudine tassonomica: raccolte di decine, centinaia, migliaia di fotografie, piante, cartelli, con sporadiche variazioni di genere. Il suo lavoro si dipana in rigorose operazioni seriali. Identità, amore e spiritualità sono le aree di ricerca che la interessano. Le opere di Sabine Delafon prendono corpo col passare del tempo.
Il progetto FAME rivolge l’attenzione ai più deboli, agli emarginati.
Dal 2014 acquista i cartelli in cartone dei mendicanti sui quali dichiarano di avere fame. Parla con loro e documenta fotograficamente la compravendita dei loro avvisi. I cartoni sono successivamente fotografati e stampati.
Ogni cartello diventa un poster, una t-shirt e un piatto di porcellana di Limoges in edizione limitata.
Il progetto è veicolato dai testimonial che indossano le t-shirt e posano negli scatti fotografici. La vendita dei multipli d’artista va in parte in beneficienza a panequotidiano.eu per sostenere i più poveri.
“Ho fame” è un messaggio, è una condizione umana condivisa da tutti. Fame di cibo, fame di affetto, fame d’amore, fame di bellezza, fame di cultura, fame di viaggi. Tutti abbiamo fame di qualcosa.

Sabine Delafon is a transmedia artist. She works with photography, glass, visual poetry and performance. She intervenes in urban space and many of her projects have a taxonomic attitude: collections of tens, hundreds, thousands of photographs, plants, signs, with sporadic variations of genre. His work unfolds in rigorous serial operations. Identity, love and spirituality are the areas of research that interest her. Sabine Delafon’s works take shape over time.
The FAME project turns its attention to the weakest, the marginalised.
Since 2014, she has been buying beggars’ cardboard signs on which they claim to be hungry. She talks to them and photographically documents the buying and selling of their notices. The cartons are then photographed and printed.
Each sign becomes a poster, a t-shirt and a limited edition Limoges porcelain plate.
The project is conveyed by the testimonials who wear the t-shirts and pose in the photo shoots. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the artist’s multiples goes to panequotidiano.eu to support the poorest.
“I am hungry” is a message, it is a human condition shared by all. Hunger for food, hunger for affection, hunger for love, hunger for beauty, hunger for culture, hunger for travel. We all hunger for something.
